Friends of UKirk,
Every year during our Thanksgiving meal, we take a moment to share what we're grateful for. This year, as we gathered around the table, one student’s words stood out to me and the UKirk board members present. They expressed how thankful they were to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal with friends, especially since school projects required them to stay on campus and miss the opportunity to travel home for the holiday.
While we always wish our students could be with their families, particularly during the holidays, we are glad to be able to offer them a space where they can feel at home. We are deeply thankful for the incredible network of church partners, friends, and supporters like you who make it possible for us to provide a warm meal, a safe space, and a sense of belonging to students who often find themselves far from home.
As we enter this season of giving, we are especially grateful for your continued partnership in making UKirk a "home away from home" for so many students. Your generosity enables us to be there for them when they need it most—whether it’s for a meal, words of hope during devo, a quiet place to study, or simply a listening ear.
Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays,
Rev. Micah Watson
