We're thrilled to share that UKirk is off to a fantastic start this semester! We've successfully wrapped up our welcome events and are diving into the heart of the school year.
Our Brunch on Campus was a huge success, thanks to our awesome leadership team. They can be seen cooking and doing early morning prep at UKirk in the photos below. Game Night and our Welcome Back Cookout were filled with laughter and good food, and it was wonderful to see returning students reconnect and to welcome new faces.
As we settle into our regular rhythm, we look forward to enjoying more Thursdays of dinner and devotion at the UKirk house. This semester we will be using a series from A Sanctified Art called Unraveled. As for the rest of our weekly program at UKirk; Monday Lunch has started strong with 7ish students in attendance weekly, and coffee on campus remains one of our more popular events with 8-12 students showing up to grab some coffee and hangout each week.
To close out the first month of fall semester we're planning a day trip to Rock Island! We hope to enjoy a picnic and spend some time in the water at the Rock Island beach area. Towards the end of October we're looking forward to another rendition of UCamp! Last year we enjoyed 60 degree days and retreated deep into our sleeping bags for sub 40 degree nights at Edgar Evins State Park. This year we're hoping for milder nights out in West Tennessee at Natchez Trace State Park.
